At Lead Out Cycling we’re passionate about cycling and believe it’s one of the best forms of exercise, travel, stress release, socialising and even fashion!

This belief drove our passion to begin a coaching company that ensures that cycling is accessible to anyone. Be it the criterium racer aiming to move up a grade in the local club races, or to those who have just started cycling and are looking to improve their skills and fitness on the bike.

Our coaches:

Mark Hudson: Several years ago on a sojourn in the U.K, Mark was given a bike at a pub from a patron to get home. After spending four weeks riding through France the bug had well and truly taken hold and Mark realised that the best place to be was on a bike. Mark now spends time riding throughout some of the great cycling spots in and around Melbourne. With an interest in both road and mountain bike racing, you will find him at various events throughout the season.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physical Education)
  • Cycling Australia Level 1 coach
  • Personal Trainer registered with ‘Physical Activity Australia’

Mick Carter: A life-long tragic cycling fan, Mick has always been fit and active, and a move to Melbourne from Canberra several years ago resulted in replacing mountain biking for road cycling and he has never looked back.
High-level experience in sports coaching, coupled with a passion for seeing riders improve shows through in MC’s enthusiasm for helping Lead Out riders achieve their riding goals.

Bridget Letster: Bridget joined Lead Out in 2013, having won Lead Out Cycling’s Zero to Euro competition – a search for a ‘keen beginner’ to be provided with a year’s worth of coaching and in return, document their progress on social media.

Bridget reaped the rewards of regular attendance at Lead Out’s 3-weekly group training sessions: gaining the skills, fitness and confidence to tackle some exciting challenges like a fundraising ride from Melbourne to Sydney and Bicycle Network’s Peaks Challenge Gold Coast.
Since then, Bridget has embraced Melbourne’s cycling scene and now races regularly at local and state level, participates in well-known events like Amy’s Gran Fondo and acts as ride leader with various groups in and around Melbourne. She’s also an ambassador for local cycling kit brand, Fondo.
When she’s not on the bike, you’ll find Bridget living out the other half of the motto, ‘ride to eat’, and working in the finance industry.
