Around the Bay in a Day Training
Around the Bay in a Day
There is 12 weeks to go until Lead Out Cycling makes its debut for the annual ‘Around the Bay in a Day’ ride. The 210km challenge is a great event to train for and helps you stay motivated during these winter months!
The event will be held on Sunday the 21st of October 2012
To prepare, we will continue to build the distances covered on the Sunday rides and enjoy the hills of Mount Eliza. In addition to this, the intensity will continue to increase on our weekday rides.
Lead Out Cycling will be holding our very own ‘Half a Bay in a Day’ on 19th of August 2012, which will include a ride to Mornington for Tea & Toast (or Coffee & poached eggs) and then return to St Kilda.
We will also be introducing the Great Rides of Melbourne series to help you train for ‘Around the Bay in a Day’. This will give us the chance to explore some new areas and cafes whilst continuing to prepare for the event.
Members have also signed up for the ‘Amy Gillet Grand Fondo’ event. It is another great event and also an excellent lead in to the ‘Around the Bay in a Day’ which includes 120 km of closed roads, including the spectacular Great Ocean Rd.
